Attention Yacht Club Members,
We are preparing for another thrilling season on the water, and are seeking sailing judges to help us out this summer!
MC races are typically on Saturday and Sunday mornings from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Judges are paid $60 per race and $85 for back-to-back races. Additionally, for those who are able to commit a couple of hours each weekend, there is a potential to earn up to $2500 throughout the summer.
If you are interested in becoming a sailing judge or have any questions regarding the duties, we encourage you to reach out to Dave Rocco. Dave can be contacted at 708-646-8966 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. He will be happy to provide you with further information and discuss the available opportunities in more detail.
Don't miss out on this chance to be part of our the PLYC sailing community and contribute to the success of our sailing fleet. We look forward to hearing from enthusiastic individuals who are eager to take on this rewarding role. (FYI, this role would be a perfect fit for high school or college students looking to gain valuable experience and earn some extra income!)
Thank you for your continued support, and let's make this summer an unforgettable one on the water!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, and lifelong Powers Laker, Ann McMillan.
Annie loved Powers Lake. She loved the water, she was always boating, and she understood what the yacht club was all about. The friendships she made through the lake and the club were rich and true — she loved her friends, and her friends loved her. Her booming laugh and beaming smile will be missed immensely this summer, and all summers to come.
Please take a moment this weekend, as we start another summer, to honor Annie, and all the light and life she brought to the lake.
You can now order the latest and greatest Powers Lake Yacht Club merchandise from our partners, Spirit Products. The store is packed with a few new items, and some club favorites.
The deadline for orders is Sunday, June 12th, so don't hesitate to grab some gear!
